Quality, safety & compliance
Toys are a regulated product. We specify for the destination market from the first sample, not after the first failure.

Standards we build and test to
We are a manufacturer, not a laboratory — the certificates that matter are issued by an accredited third party against your specific product. What we do is design and build so those tests pass first time, then coordinate the testing with SGS, TÜV Rheinland, Intertek or Bureau Veritas and hand you the report with the goods.
European Union & UK
EN 71-1 / -2 / -3
Mechanical and physical properties, flammability, and migration of certain elements. The baseline for CE marking and UKCA on any toy sold to under-14s in Europe.
European Union
REACH & SVHC
Restricted substances in materials and coatings, including phthalates in plasticised PVC components.
United States
ASTM F963
The US consumer safety specification for toy safety, covering small parts, seams, fill cleanliness and sound levels.
United States
CPSIA & CPC
Lead and phthalate limits, tracking labels and the Children's Product Certificate required at import.
Japan
ST 2016
The Japan Toy Association standard, required for the ST mark on toys sold through Japanese retail.
South Korea
KC mark
Korean certification for children's products, covering chemical and mechanical safety.
Gulf states
GCC / SASO
Conformity requirements and Arabic labelling for the Saudi, UAE and wider Gulf markets.
California, US
California Prop 65
Warning requirements for listed chemicals — relevant to painted vinyl and coated hardware.
How testing actually runs

We select fabrics, fills, paints and hardware with declarations already on file for your destination market.
The pre-production sample is built from exactly the materials that will be used in bulk — no substitutions between sample and production.
You nominate the laboratory, or we book it. Samples go to test during, not after, bulk material preparation.
The report is issued in your company's name so it belongs to you, and the reference is printed on the carton label.
We retain a sealed counter-sample from every production run for two years in case of a market query.
Labelling and packaging compliance
Age grading, warning text in the correct languages, CE or UKCA marks, importer address blocks, tracking labels, suffocation warnings on polybags and recycling marks are all set at artwork stage. Send us your importer details and destination markets and we will lay out compliant labels for your approval before printing.
Social compliance
We maintain documented working hours, written employment contracts, no under-age labour and a factory that can be inspected without notice. We have hosted customer-led and third-party audits including BSCI-format and licensor supply-chain assessments, and we will support your audit programme rather than delay it.
Lower-impact material options
Recycled RPET plush made from post-consumer bottles, GOTS-certified organic cotton, recycled PET fill, FSC-certified hang tags, soy-based inks and plastic-free packaging are all available. They change the cost model, so raise them in the brief rather than after the quotation.
